This program is for middle and high school students as well as adults who want to learn the Quran for the purpose of following its teachings. Quranic Teachings also offers programs for new converts who seek to read the Quran in its original text with understanding.

If you are focusing on memorizing the Quran with no understanding, THIS COURSE IS NOT FOR YOU.

1. Basic knowledge of the Arabic Alphabet, and how to connect the Arabic letters.

2. Having the Niyyah (intention) to get closer to and to please Allah (SWT).

عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَقُولُ: ” إنَّمَا الْأَعْمَالُ بِالنِّيَّاتِ، وَإِنَّمَا لِكُلِّ امْرِئٍ مَا نَوَى 

It is narrated on the authority of ‘Umar bin al-Khattab (RA) who said:

I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say: “Actions are (judged) by motives (niyyah), so each man will have what he intended.

3. Striving and commitment: If you want results ,you need to work hard. You need to show up to every class and try your best so you can get the benefit and reward you are seeking.

﴿وَالَّذِينَ جَاهَدُوا فِينَا لَنَهْدِيَنَّهُمْ سُبُلَنَا ۚ وَإِنَّ اللَّهَ لَمَعَ الْمُحْسِنِينَ﴾

[ العنكبوت: 69] 

“And those who strive for Us – We will surely guide them to Our ways. And indeed, Allah is with the doers of good”.

· Students will receive a pretest prior to enrollment to determine their levels.
· Students will be placed in the course that corresponds with their respective levels.
· Each course is a complete semester. There are three classes per week. Each class is thirty minutes long. Students are expected to attend at least 80% of the classes for full credit.
· At the end of each course, students will be tested in what they learned.
· By the end of each course, students should have memorized the designated surahs with full understanding.
· By the end of each course, students will have gained enough vocabulary words that will help them in their comprehension of the next surahs.
· By the end of each course, students will be able to know the reasons for the revelation of the surahs or the stories behind them.
· By the end of each course, students will be able to understand the part of the Seerah that relates to the suwar they learned if relevant.
· By the end of each course, students will have been exposed to Arabic grammar that will help them to have a deeper and more meaningful understanding of the verses they learned.
