How is “Quranic Teach” different from other programs?

Our approach to memorizing is the approach of the companions.

. At “Quranic Teach”, students memorize the Quran with Tajweed, Tafseer, and reasons for the revelation of each Aya/surah to have full cognitive and linguistic mastery of the Quran.
· At “Quranic Teach”, non-Arab speaking students read the Quran with minimum use of the dictionary.
· Teachers at “Quranic Teach” follow the steps of the Sahaba (companions of the prophet (PBUH)) who applied the same method in memorizing the Quran.
· At “Quranic Teach”, students learn the reasons of the revelations of the surahs which puts the message of the Quran in context, thus increasing its comprehensibility and retention.
· At “Quranic Teach”, students learn the parts of the Seerah that are mentioned in the Quran enabling them to have depth of knowledge and better understanding of the context in which the Ayat were revealed.

Do you know how challenging it is to memorize something you do not understand?

Our approach to memorizing is the approach of the companions.

The Companions did not start to learn new verses before they memorized ten verses and practiced them.

According to the narration of Abdurrazzaq from Ma’mar, from Ata b. as-Saib, Abu Abdurrahman as-Sulami said, “When we learned ten verses from the Quran, we would not move on to the next ten verses unless we learned the halals, harams, orders, and prohibitions in those verses. According to what Imam Malik states in his book called Muwatta, Abdullah b. Umar learned the chapter of al-Baqara in eight years (1).

How do we achieve this goal?

We will be using the Quranic Arabic method. Repeating. Repeating. Repeating is the best way to learn a new word. Repetition fixes new words in your memory. However, repeating them a hundred times over the course of one day will not be as effective as repeating them a few times over a period of several days or weeks. Why is understanding the Quran so important?

There are mainly five rights of the Qur’an upon the reader.

The right to preserve it:

The one who has memorized the Qur’an is more deserving of this aforementioned merit in the right of recitation. Because memorization includes recitation, and because of the difficulty involved in memorization and because the memorizer is distinguished by the fact that the revelation is in his chest, he recites it whenever he wants. The Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said: “It will be said to the companion of the Qur’an: Read and ascend and recite as you used to recite in this world, for your place will be at the last verse you recite.” ” [12]

The right to contemplate:

God Almighty said: “And We have certainly made the Qur’an easy for the remembrance. Is there anyone who will remember it?” [Al-Qamar: 17]. Ibn Katheer said: “That is, We have made its wording easy and We have made its meaning easy for whoever wants it so that the people may remember.” [14] It is a book whose words God has made easy, for they are easy and sweet and invite its reader to contemplate and contemplate. Consideration and admonition, God Almighty said: “A blessed Book which We have sent down to you, that they may reflect upon its verses, and that those of understanding may remember” [p. 29]. Al-Tabari said: “It means that whoever of your people We have sent you to reflect upon this Qur’an, O Muhammad” [15] .

Rebuke and reprimand came to those who neglected to reflect; Then God Almighty said: “Do they not contemplate the Qur’an? Had it been from other than God, they would have found in it much discrepancy” [An-Nisa’: 82]. Al-Shawkani said: “This verse indicates the necessity of contemplating the Qur’an in order to know its meaning” [16] .

Right to Act upon it:

Acting on the Qur’an is one of the most important goals of its revelation, and other rights are subsequent to this right, as it is not possible to act on the Qur’an except those who recite it, meditate on it, and venerate it.

The Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, used to act upon it in all of that. Aisha, may God be pleased with her, said about him: “His character was the Qur’an” [ 29] That is, he obeys His commands, abstains from His prohibitions, behaves according to His morals, and behaves according to His manners.

The right to refer to the Qur’an:

It is a type of work on the Qur’an, but it is mentioned here only because of its importance and because of the frequent texts indicating its greatness and status. God Almighty said: “Are you the people of ignorance who seek to rule? Who is better than God in judgment for a people who are certain?” [Al-Ma’idah: 50].

Right to convey:

Among the rights of the Qur’an that are indicated by Sharia law is the right to convey it to others and teach it to them, and in that is the great reward, the great good, and the great reward, and this happens to whoever knows even a little bit of the Qur’an, and it is not said that it is little, and the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, urged him to convey it by saying: : “Convey from me even if it is a verse” [34] and the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, prayed for those who fulfilled this right, saying: “May God bless the
